We’ve made the effort to track the individual items to their manufacturers, whether they were in China or the US, so we’ll be sure to point it out.

The reason behind this is that numerous sellers push the same clamp, at more or less the same prices (we’re talking a couple of cents up or down), so this simplifies the choosing process. Of course, seeing as the concept behind these things is very simple, there’s also overlap between different manufacturers. Still, there’s difference enough in the materials used, which reflects in their respective price tags.

So, with this caveat in place, and without any further ado, let’s get stuck in!

The Mighty Putter Holder pretty much lives up to the name – it’s one of the better-quality putter clips on our list. It’s made of high-grade nylon and designed to house the putter with the grip up rather than down.

The GolfJOC 4-in-1 CiggarKaddy is pretty much what it reads on the tin – a cigar caddy, club caddy, divot tool, and putter holder, all rolled up into one.

As you may have already inferred from reading the name, the ProActive Sports 3-in-1 putter holder is three products rolled into one – you’re getting a putter holder, two tees, as well as a ball marker. 

First off, yes, the Gostar Putter Clip Holder is made in China, but you wouldn’t tell from looking at it. The main trouble is that it’s unclear which, if any retailers outside China have them, so ordering a single holder straight from the manufacturer is hardly worth the money, considering shipping (they do favour bulk orders).

The Gaopin Putter Clip is another nice choice for a golf bag putter holder coming from China. Like Gostar, Gaopin mostly deals with bulk sales, so it’s highly likely that they’re sold as an off-brand via Amazon at your local retailers. 

The clip part on the RB Golf putter holder may not be a good fit for a bag with a thick collar, since it will take some force to clip it on, which may break it. However, once you put it on, it stays put. On that note, the holder part may be a bit too big for putters with slim grips.

The Jetting Golf Bag Clip for Putter is made in China, which accounts for the low price (comparing it to its US-made counterparts, at least). That said, ordering in bulk isn’t mandatory, but at that price point, shipping alone will be many times over the cost of a single piece (depending on your location).

Just like it says, this is a generic golf bag club holder sold through Amazon. It comes as a set of fourteen (one for each club), but you can probably get it piecemeal if you prefer. 

And now, for something completely different (bonus points if you get the reference) – a bag. Much like the name would suggest, the Prosimmon Tour comes with an external putter tube, which lets you slip your flatstick in and out with a satisfying swoosh, and without bothering the other clubs.

The long-windedly named Bag Boy Revolver LTD 14-Way Golf Cart Bag is exactly what you might think after reading the name. The interesting aspect hides in the “revolver” part – the top of the bag rotates to allow you easier access to the clubs. As far as putters go, the bag has not one, but two external putter tubes (a bit of an overkill, to be honest).

The Bennington Quiet Organizer 9 Lite cart bag comes in seven distinct flavours – Black, Canon Grey/White, Dolphin Grey/Indigo, Espresso, Laser Green, Midnight Blue, and Royal, so you can choose the one to go with your shoes. All of them, though, are very much fresh designs and come with one external putter sleeve, or scabbard, as they term it.

If you’re looking for a putter tube, whether as a replacement or as an upgrade, the Player Supreme just might be the thing for you (it might be the only thing for you, the market is really niche).

It’s available in three sizes, though given the popularity of supersize grips, you’d be best off with the 2-inch variant. This refers to the inner diameter, so you can rest assured your oversized grip will fit in (think Superstroke 3.0 or equivalent, at the least).

The Takeaway

We’ve finally came to the end of our list of the most popular golf bag putter holders on the market at the moment. Well, “most popular” may be a little bit too tentative, but they certainly sell well enough, which is encouraging.

Of course, picking a putter holder isn’t as difficult as picking a putter, not only because they’re more generic, but also because they’re dirt-cheap (mostly). Just cut the kids’ allowance for a week, and you will have saved the money for it.

All jokes aside, though, these things are more of an afterthought, really, so your pockets won’t even feel it. That said, the market isn’t all that big, either – there are plenty of sellers, but they all sell more or less the same items made in China. Some are USA-made, and these will be more durable, but also more expensive (still far from an investment, though). Either way, you’ll be making a trade-off, so don’t sweat it.
